Gillian has been working along with employment lawyers from TC Young to create a knowledgeable E-Learning course for staff to use to learn about Equality, Diversity and Inclusion.
What is Equality, Diversity and Inclusion?
This has been a hot topic for some time now, especially since The Equality Act 2010 had been published. However, some employees still struggle to grasp what it may entail.
Equality – or “Equal Opportunities” ensures that no one is discriminated against for protected characteristics*
Diversity – is mainly aimed at respecting and valuing each and every member of an organisation, no matter what their differences may be
Inclusion – aiming to treat all individuals fairly
*protected characteristics are those that cannot be discriminated against, therefore cannot be disclosed to anyone within or outside of the business.
