Managing your team including those on furlough and those still working.
In this webinar I speak with Charlie Johnston about mindset and how to manage your team in the current circumstances. It is increasingly obvious as we move out of crisis mode and into the “new norm” that we are going to have to adapt our ways of working and by association that requires a shift in the way that we approach managing teams now and moving forwards.
In this webinar Charlie introduces us to the constructs of social loathing and social labouring to help us to differentiate between an approach which encourages team collaboration and improves productivity. This is rooted in the idea that when more than one person gets involved in a task, it is possible that an individual may slack off and rely on the others rather than giving maximum effort.
Topics covered in this webinar include:
- Social loathing versus social labouring
- How to develop trust
- How you can positively manage your current and future circumstances
With guidance changing so frequently, we are doing our best to keep you up to date. The information provided in the recording above is our understanding at this point in time (28th April 2020), however as more and different advice becomes available this position may change and we will update accordingly. This is an evolving and unfolding situation, and we take the view that different measures may need to be applied for different sets of circumstances at an appropriate time. We as a team are available to discuss with you what measures are available to you.
