Nicole joined the Gravitate HR team in September 2024 and in this blog she talks about her wealth of HR experience to date and what she brings to the table here at Gravitate HR.  We also find out what Nicole enjoys doing in her spare time.

I am so excited to join the team as a Lead HR Consultant. Working within a company who tailors their services to each client is important to me – finding purpose and value in each interaction and adapting services to meet each client goes a long way. At Gravitate HR we can help with your day-to-day people management issues, recruitment, conduct, capability or performance matters.  We can  also support at a more strategic level reviewing restructure plans, training investment plans, a TUPE transfer and offer more hands-on consultancy into your annual strategy planning.

With a background in Corporate Business Partnerships, with my Chartered Fellow CIPD 7 Accreditation, I will continue as a Lead HR Consultant and strive to find the best way to support you and your business at all times. This could for example be policy enhancements/introductions, managing difficult conversations and seeking a results driven resolution that meets you, your people and business needs.

What aspect of HR and your job are you particularly passionate about?

I’m passionate about Wellbeing in the Workplace and Disability Discrimination within Employment Law, the Yin to my Employment Law Yang is Yoga, I teach Yoga across Glasgow with charities and studios finding the perfect balance where it is possible (no pun intended!). These subjects can open topics of conversation which may enhance your people and culture initiatives and will allow clients to meet their own Values. I have extensive experience in complex matters such as TUPE, Redundancies and Medical Capability processes. Whilst a lot of clients would rather not be exploring these steps, I take the opportunity to ensure a smooth process and it gives me great pleasure knowing that our clients have a helping hand along the whole journey maintaining positive relationships.

Lastly, Nicole what do you do outside of work?

You’ll either find me running a trail path or in a Yoga studio teaching or sharing an asana or pranayama/meditation practice. Yoga is the Yin to my Employment Law Yang and I love to bake… so if I’m not summiting a Scottish Munro or in the Yoga studio, you’ll definitely find me in the kitchen trying a new cake recipe.
