What Our Attendees Are Saying…

Our HR Peer Group Workshops, led by Gravitate HR’s Nicole McMahon have been running throughout the year, providing a supportive and practical space for managers and those who deal with HR responsibilities. These sessions help build confidence, deepen understanding of key HR topics, and offer real-world tools to support effective people management.

Whether attending in person in Glasgow or joining remotely, participants benefit from peer learning, case-based discussions, and expert guidance.

Here’s what our attendee from ESOL Scotland shared after a recent Management Workshop:

“Thank so much for the sessions. It’s been really useful to get a grounding in the HR of management. I feel a lot more prepared, and as though I have the right things on my radar to be proactive and pre-empt any issues before they become problematic. It feels like a big responsibility. People’s experience of work is one of the key factors that can make their life wonderful or a misery…I am really keen to get it right for everyone.

I think the main takeaways for me were to always act quickly and try to head off issues informally. I know that we have to have formal processes and channels for very good reasons, but ideally, your session really underlined the importance of being proactive about the communication and support so that it doesn’t get to that stage, which would be incredibly stressful to everyone involved.

I found the scenarios/examples helpful as a model of the applied knowledge.

I also really appreciated you letting us share a bit and raising specific contexts where we thought we might encounter management issues or face challenges. You gave us lots of space for this and I appreciated your patience in allowing us to do so.

I’m really looking forward to the Toolkit and templates being there so I can take what you led us through and apply it to our organisation. Thank you again”
